WRITER/DIRECTOR'S BIO – MIKE BRUCE

In 2005 Mike began production on his first feature film, The Legend of God's Gun, a rock-n-roll spaghetti western starring the band Spindrift and members of The Brian Jonestown Masscre. Three years later Mike completed the film and sold it to Indican Pictures and Bleiberg Entertainment for world wide distribution. This caught the attention of The Dandy Warhols front man, Courtney Taylor-Taylor, who transplanted Mike to Portland to make music videos for the release of the album Earth to The Dandy Warhols.

Upon returning to Los Angeles Mike joined forces with producer Cameron Van Hoy and penned a new feature entitled Treasure of the Black Jaguar. Production began one month later and in the fall of 2010 the film premiered at the Raindance Film Festival in London where it won the Distribution Award. Following a screening at Cannes the Hollywood Reporter reviewed it as a "Well-made adventure set in Sergio Leone-type terrain and blasted with Robert Rodriguez-ish firepower…a delirious descent into a heart-of-darkness, where survival instincts and base greed trump basic goodness and civilized values."

Most recently Mike was recruited by Noel Gallagher to write and direct a series of music videos for his debut solo project after the break up of Oasis. The third video installment, AKA…WHAT A LIFE starring Russell Brand, made the Top 20 Most Awesome Videos of 2011 on yahoo. Currently Mike is developing his upcoming feature, Desiree Dream, a ghost story about a clairvoyant songwriter.
